The Pakistan Association of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeons (PACVTS) is a national, non-profit professional organization dedicated to the advancement of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery in Pakistan. Established in 1991 and was formally registered as PSCVTS under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in October 1994. PACVTS has since been re-registered with the Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan in 2021.

PACVTS serves as the principal representative body for cardiac and thoracic surgeons across the country. It was founded by leading cardiac and thoracic surgeons of Pakistan with the vision to promote excellence in patient care, education, research, and professional development within the specialties of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. The association plays a pivotal role in strengthening surgical standards, fostering collaboration, and supporting continuous learning for surgeons nationwide..

PACVTS represents cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgeons from major institutions across Pakistan and works closely with teaching hospitals, medical universities, and healthcare organizations. The Association is governed by an elected Council of Management comprising President, Vice President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, Joint Editor, and Council Members, ensuring transparent leadership and effective governance.
