The Paediatric Cardiology team at Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC-MTI), under the leadership of Prof. Ijaz Hussain, successfully performed transcatheter pulmonary valve implantation procedures in three patients. The procedures were conducted with the valuable support and supervision of a visiting team of paediatric cardiologists from Thailand,reflecting PIC’s commitment to international collaboration and clinical excellence. All patients recovered well following the procedures and have been safely discharged. PIC-MTI continues to provide advanced, high-end tertiary cardiac care services to the people of Pakistan. These achievements are made possible through the continued support of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ensuring timely funding and strengthening specialized healthcare services in the province.
